Here is 'Slippy' Rik Darby's Silvia S14. After packing up the camera gear, picking up JC and heading off to the world reknown Krispy Kreams. We're parked up and waiting to meet up with Mr Darby, who turns up only a few minutes after ourselves, so we head on from here and into the industrial side of Greater Manchester.
This car started out in Rik's hands as an import from Powervehicles over in Japan, with a fair amount of the spec list already fitted. The bodykit, wheels, the stripped interior and also a good polish were received in Japan. Rik has added his own touch with help of some very lairy paint in some chosen places. as he has sprayed up the rear of the bare metal interior and engine rocker cover in an illuminous pink, whilst his sump and upper strut brace are covered in an exuberrent and viscious yellow hue.
After taking quite a few photos around 4 different locations luckily researched the night before we thought we'd head on into the city centre and get some driving/action shots. Well we made a clerical error as the chinese new year was being celebrated as a road festival. and we were diverted all around the centre of the city until we got within sniffing distance of the kung pow chicken noodles that i love.
We managed to sneakily manouver the car a few feet from the massive crowd and security to get these pictures and with all the looks the childrens rides were getting, Rik kept grinning away as the revs crept up gently giving a small but humble growl. Some pedestrians turned to see this jap car sat there (kinda behaving) just inches away from multiple kids.
So after some eventual weird looks from security we decided to end the day and headed on home. Big thanks go to Rik, JC the chinese new year street party, trafford park and Krispy Kreams.
Much love & peace.
Randum.
